"Dipping in To Deepen Our Knowledge" Summer Learning Series For Heathrow Teachers
Come spend some time with your colleagues "dipping in" to some of our instructional practice areas to build on your expertise in the classroom and prepare for the upcoming school year.
For each session there will be at least one related article or video to preview prior to the session. These will all be included in our "Summer Text Set for Heathrow Teachers." Every session will support teacher effectiveness in all four domains: Domain 1 - Classroom Strategies and Behaviors; Domain 2 - Planning and Preparing; Domain 3 - Reflecting on Teaching; and Domain 4 - Collegiality and Professionalism. Teachers are invited to come to each session with additional articles, links, videos or other ideas to share related to the topic for the day. After each session teachers are welcome to spend time in your classroom extending your learning or preparing for next year.
We will provide light snacks, and you are welcome to bring something to share.
All sessions will be from 10:00 -12:00 on the following dates:
Session 1: June 11 (Activity #1562) - Reviews that Stick: Good Asks Vs. Bad Asks
Session 2: June 25 (Activity # 1568) - Look Who’s Talking: Embracing the 80/20 Mantra
Session 3: July 8 (Activity #1563) - Gamification: Promoting Communication and Creating Engagement with Weebly’s and Badges with Jennifer Rothman-Tait
